I’ve been researching what makes some Yellow Pages ads and local business websites highly profitable while other similar ads and web sites don’t do squat.
I put it all into a 20 minute training that I teach all of my sales reps, and I got a great story to tell.
My rock star, Lindsey followed my advice and designed the attached ad. It was placed on the back outside cover of the DeForest, Wisconsin HomePages, a small community directory that is direct mailed to about 6,000 families and businesses.
His ad was about $3,000 for the year.
A few weeks ago, Lindsey got an excited call from the business owner who authorized her to sign him up for every open placement in all Wisconsin area books where he works.
The reason he so willingly made Lindsey’s month was that he had landed a $600,000 job because of two words in the ad.
