Two Types of Customers

TwoThere are only two types of customers:

1.  Those you already have

2.  Those you don’t have yet

It takes different types of marketing to reach each of these, and no successful business can grow without hitting both.

If you already have custoemrs, you need to be continually reaching out to “resell” them on your services so that they’ll keep buying and referring their friends.  Without repeat business, you’ll eventually run out of prospects.

Second, you’ve got to cast a wide enough net to bring in customers who don’t already know about you or who don’t rely on referrals.  This is the vast majority of new business, because there are so many more of them.  This requires advertising.
